The 8 Reframes.
Most founders ask surface questions and get surface answers. The quality of your AI output is the quality of your question. These 8 reframes shift you from the surface to the real problem.
01Customers
Surface QuestionHow do I get more customers?
Real QuestionWhere are they already gathering — and what assumption am I making about how they reach me?
How To Articulate It
"I've been measuring success by how many came to me — but I haven't mapped where my ideal customer is already gathering. Before I solve for 'more customers,' I need to challenge the assumption that they come to me."
02Scale
Surface QuestionHow do I scale my business?
Real QuestionWhat's actually breaking that makes scaling feel impossible right now?
How To Articulate It
"'Scale' is too vague. The real question is what would crack first if revenue doubled tomorrow — fulfillment, support, cash flow, or quality. Until I know what breaks, scaling is a fantasy."
03Content
Surface QuestionHow do I write better content?
Real QuestionWhat is my audience struggling with that they can't name yet?
How To Articulate It
"I keep judging content by whether IT'S good — instead of asking whether it speaks to a pain my audience hasn't been able to name. Improving the writing keeps me improving the wrong dimension."
04Hiring
Surface QuestionShould I hire a VA?
Real QuestionWhat's the cost of me continuing this work — in money, time, and the next-best thing I'm NOT building?
How To Articulate It
"I keep asking if I can afford to hire. The harder question I haven't asked: what's it costing me NOT to hire — in opportunity cost, strategic work, my own time? I'm calculating the wrong number."
05Visibility
Surface QuestionHow do I get on more podcasts?
Real QuestionWhat POV do I have that podcast audiences are starving for — and no one else can deliver?
How To Articulate It
"I've been chasing podcast features as a tactic. I haven't done the harder work of identifying what I uniquely see that an audience would tune in for. Without that, more features is just more noise."
06Pricing
Surface QuestionHow do I price my offer?
Real QuestionWhat's the transformation actually worth in dollars saved, time returned, or opportunity unlocked?
How To Articulate It
"Most pricing decisions get made on what feels right or what competitors charge. The real question is what the buyer gains in measurable value — then capture a fair share of that."
07Funnel
Surface QuestionHow do I get more leads?
Real QuestionWhich leak in my funnel is actually losing me the most money — top, middle, or close?
How To Articulate It
"'More leads' assumes the funnel works. Often it doesn't — you're trying to pour water into a bucket with bigger holes upstream than the one you're filling."
08Burnout
Surface QuestionHow do I stop feeling overwhelmed?
Real QuestionWhich 3 tasks are draining 80% of my energy — and are any actually mine to hold?
How To Articulate It
"I've been treating overwhelm like a feeling to manage. The structural problem is most of what's draining me isn't mine to hold. I've been asking 'how do I cope' instead of 'what doesn't belong on my plate.'"
